Another first for Williams: Named executive director for ALCOSAN

Arletta Scott Williams is used to being associated with the number one.

Recently appointed the first woman and the first African-American executive director of the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority, Williams graduated first in her class from Westinghouse High School. She was the first female director of Operations and Maintenance and the first deputy executive director at ALCOSAN.

Her appointment was approved by the board of directors during its July 23 meeting.
