Helping Students to the next level: Phillips prepares students for employment, college

Ever since he was a little boy, Vernon Phillips dreamed of becoming a school principal.

"My goal was to become a principal in four years," explained Phillips, now principal of Peabody High School.

The Plum Borough resident graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 1969 with a degree in elementary education/special education. He received a master's degree from Duquesne University in 1972. He has credits toward a doctorate degree through the St. Louis-based Danforth Administrative Program.
