Poor Americans Want Welfare Reform.

Conspiciously absent from welfare reform debate have been the voices of those most likely to be affected by it - the poor themselves. To articulate their concerns, the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies commissioned a comprehensive nationwide survey to find out who the poor are and what they think about the current welfare system and about proposals to reform it.
