Blacks in the Highway Patrol have established a progressive history

It was a clear, sunny day on August 1, 1955, and the 44th class of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was about to convene. As the new recruits stood at attention outside the Hartman Farms Training Camp, there was a noticeable difference in this group of recruits.
