The scientific racists of the past and present have invariably taken the position that black people are not only a breed apart but also genetically inferior to whites in intelligence and in other human characteristics. Accordingly, racist ideology has always put its efforts behind constructing archaeological evidence that Negroes were a subspecies of human beings who developed geographically apart and along completely different anthropological lines than whites.
