News and Views: Young Blacks Are Making Remarkable Gains in Educational. Attainments, But Strong High School Completions Are Not Enough
Young blacks are making important progress in their rate of high school completions, but a stubborn racial gap in the percentage of young blacks and whites completing college has remained fairly constant for the past quarter century.
This journal's principal mission is to report and evaluate information and to provide useful insights on the progress of blacks in higher education. We have seen that it was important to cut through the misleading rhetoric on both sides of the debate over this highly charged issue and to lay down the facts.
