The reputation of the legal profession has reached its lowest point in years. As a result, fewer college graduates are pursuing careers in law. However, African Americans continue to see law school, especially the highly rated institutions, as an extremely attractive career path.
This year law school applications nationwide have declined by about 11 percent from a year earlier. This is the fifth straight year that applications to law school have fallen. Demographically, the number of seniors graduating from college in recent years has also been declining, which may partly explain the shrinking ...
