CURRICULUM: Latin American Studies Moving in All Directions From. Mississippi to Milwaukee and Points in Between
Matilda Komanowski admits that studying about Latin America "is a way of being at home away from home."
But Romanowski, a native of a small Mexican town, also views her Latin American studies at Rutgers as a valuable asset.
"I feel that it is a very important part of the world, and that in the future, there will be more need for professionals who know the area not only geographically but in other important aspects," says Komanowski, an ex-journalist and junior at Rutgers' Douglass College.
