SOUTH Florida gears up for Jamaica's 41st Independence Celebrations as nearly 400,000 Jamaicans in South Florida will come together to celebrate the nation's 41st anniversary of Independence. Two annual independence Balls were held simultaneously last Saturday, July 26th where Hon. Wyckeham McNeil, Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism, was the guest speaker at the Grand Independence Ball at the Renaissance Hotel, in downtown Miami. Entertainment was provided by the Bare Essentials. This event was hosted by Needy Kids of Jamaica, a South Florida non-profit group.
