NUTRITION RESEARCHERS are suggesting that increased intake of dietary calcium could result in a healthier body and greater weight and fat loss when calcium rich foods are used as part of a low calorie diet. In one study, a group of obsese, hypertensive African American men lost about 11 pounds over the course of a year without any other alterations to their diets, after their calcium intake was increased from 400mg to 1000mg daily by eating two cups of yougurt.
