Article: NAACP, Women In NAACP (WIN) and ACLU host workshops to restore voting and Civil Rights, celebrate National Voting Rights Restoration Day

In an effort to help citizens with felony convictions regain their right to vote and hold job licenses, the Fort Lauderdale NAACP, Women In NAACP and ACLU are hosting a free rights restoration workshop to assist individuals with the application for restoration of civil rights.

The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, July 26 at NAACP Headquarters (Mizell Cultural Center), 1409 Sistrunk Blvd., in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Refreshments will be provided.

The event is a part of a new statewide movement and is one of several such events being hosted around the state by the NAACP and the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition in recognition of National Voting Rights Restoration ...
