OWEGO--Lockheed Martin Federal Systems has been down-selected by Boeing Military-Wichita Division, Wichita, Kans., for the six-month Program Definition and Risk Reduction phase of the B-52H SADI contract. During this phase, valued at approximately $700,000, Lockheed Martin will compete as one of two potential suppliers to demonstrate an Electronic Support Measures (ESM) subsystem upgrade to replace the current ALR-20A Radar Warning Receiver aboard the B52H Stratofortress.
After a comprehensive demonstration of the two solutions in late March or early April 2000, Boeing will select one supplier to proceed with the engineering, manufacturing, and development phase. The total program potential ...
