THERE'S A NEW AD CAMPAIGN in town, aiming to take on the rising rates of STDs and HIV in Seattle's gay community. Perhaps you've seen it on the sides of Metro buses: the picture of a crowd of gay men staring at you, and next to these men, some white text on purple and black backgrounds.
This campaign comes to you courtesy of Public Health--Seattle & King County, which paid for the ads by funneling more than $80,000 in federal money to one of Seattle's largest gay community health agencies, Lifelong AIDS Alliance.
