VETS Act
Washington, DC-Rep. John Sullivan (R-OK) has introduced a bill that would prohibit non-physicians from performing eye surgery in all facilities of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The bill, called the Veterans Eye Treatment Safety (VETS) Act, is backed by the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), which is working to find a senator to sponsor a companion bill.
