Article: Wanted: 'Culture of Entrepreneurship' for West Virginia

Imagine a West Virginia dotted with many thousands of small, locally owned businesses. High school students look forward to going into business for themselves because they've seen their parents and cousins and neighbors do it successfully.

That "culture of entrepreneurship" is the West Virginia imagined by the Entrepreneurship Committee of West Virginia: A Vision Shared.

"I grew up in Morgantown and was brought up with reading, writing and the roadmap out of West Virginia," said committee chair Mike Stuart, a corporate attorney with Spilman, Thomas & Battle. "I think it's time we change that to reading, writing and the roadmap home," he said.
