From the road, the Stillwater Lodge in Absarokee looks like a pretty ordinary motor lodge, except during the spring and summer when the gardens erupt with color.
But, step inside and each room has its own personality. There's a cowboy room, a hunting room and a fly-fishing room, each with its own antiques or handcrafted furnishing.
And, those are just some of owner Theresa Burkhart's touches.
There's also a porch swing and Burkhart is pretty handy with homemade soaps, sending free samples home with her guests. And, Stillwater Lodge has won the Montana Ecostar award six years in a row, a state honor for efforts to use environmentally-friendly practices.
