Clinical placements, recruitment and retention issues and the financial hardship of obtaining an education in nursing are top-of-the-list concerns for nursing students in Ontario. So their leaders told provincial nursing leaders, analysts and educators at the first Ontario Nursing Student Summit, one October Saturday in Toronto.
"The summit's focus was to concentrate on solution generation," notes Irene Koutsoukis, president of Nursing Students of Ontario (NSO). NSO cosponsored the event with its parent group, Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO).
