Joint management structures have often been responsible for slow corporate reactions. But Rainer Hertrich doesn't see much of a difference between the management structure of EADS and its competitors, both in Europe and the USA.

The EADS structure is as lean and slim as everybody else's, he maintains. The only difference is that EADS has two CEOs.
