What is otitis media?
Otitis media is inflammation in the middle ear with up to 25 per cent of all children having repeated episodes of the disease before the age of five.1 2 Subcategories include acute otitis media, otitis media with effusion (also known as glue ear), recurrent acute otitis media and chronic suppurative otitis media.z
