Mandatory continuing education has been present in the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) for 30 years. While continuing education has always been considered mandatory, the purpose of this study was to examine self-perceived continuing education needs of certified athletic trainers. Questionnaires were sent to a sample of 2,000 certified athletic trainers.
