Cypress-based toy maker Bandai America Inc. recently handed its estimated $20 million advertising account to Dentsu Inc.'s Colby & Partners in Los Angeles after a six-month review.

The ad shop beat out incumbent J. Walter Thompson Co. in Los Angeles. Others in the review include Interpublic Group of Cos.' McCann-Erickson WorldGroup in Los Angeles and Dailey & Associates in West Hollywood, according to trade publication Ad Week.

Bandai declined to specify shops in the review but did say it began with about 10 to 15 companies before narrowing it to three.
