THE PURPOSE OF THIS FEATURE IS TO SHARE LESSONS LEARNED IN MASTER PLANNING A TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT CENTER BASED ON THE EXPERIENCES IN BROWARD COUNTY.
IN JANUARY 1996, THE U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) announced a National Goal for Deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) known as "Operation Timesaver." The goal is to complete the development of basic ITS infrastructures, including ITS Operations Facilities, across the nation by 2005.
