Congratulations, Chief Circuit Court Judge Evans
The man who would have been mayor, circa 1989, had he defeated Richard M. Daley now has new challenges to conquer. We at the Chicago Defender congratulate former 4th Ward Ald. Timothy C. Evans, who last Wednesday ascended to the hefty post of Chief Judge of the Cook County Circuit Court.
Evans will lead a contingent of 258 full-circuit judges and control at least 2,000 Circuit Court employees.
He's well up to the task. Evans, who presided over the Law Division of Divorce Court, prior to his election, won high praise from attorneys and has a breadth of experience, including 23 years as a lawyer and positions as ...
