SAFETY AND JUSTICE claims to be about stamping out domestic violence. But, although it mentions a figure of 1 in 6 men suffering violence at the hands of women, it cites no examples of the women who inflict violence on menfolk and children, and Mr Blunkett's £18 million has not provided a single refuge for heterosexual men.
In the absence of proposals to tackle these issues, the honesty of the document is suspect. It will certainly not eliminate domestic violence if it fails to address the violence of women.
