It now has been over one year since the Bush administration alleged that some of our country's largest American Muslim charities were financial supporters of terrorism, with links to al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and others. In December 2001--at the height of the Ramadan charitable giving season--President George W. Bush shut down the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), the largest American Muslim charity.
