WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS - The Greenbrier will relinquish the reins of the Sam Snead Golf Academy to Golf Digest, which is slated to assume operational control of the school of instruction on April 24.
"The partnership between Golf Digest and The Greenbrier will be a good one," said Russell Reid, director of instruction at the Sam Snead Golf Academy.
A native Virginian, Reid came to the resort in 1996.
"Both Golf Digest and The Greenbrier have something to bring to the table," Reid said. "The Greenbrier brings 200 years of great resort exposure and 100 years of golf experience," said Reid. "Golf Digest has powerful marketing and advertising tools," he added.
