Hagerstown entrepreneur Clint Wiley has plugged in as a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC). After a hiatus during the Verizon strike, his New Frontiers Telecommunications is mounting an advertising campaign of fering local telephone service.
"We're up and running," said the 30-year-old Wiley, why indicated his company is the only CLEC in the Hagerstown area. "The phones keep ringing." With eight employees, New Frontiers has its main office at Longmeadow Road and a central office on Summit Avenue close to Verizon's (formerly Bell Atlantic) facilities.
