This video presents an overview of film history beginning at the end of the nineteenth century with the silent era and ending today with the impact of the VCR and new media.
The video is divided into six short segments. Part 1, titled "One Reel Stories" (3 minutes), discusses the beginning of film history. Examples include black and white footage from Porter, Edison and Chaplin. There are good examples of early film cameras and projectors.
