Article: Two Utah ice cream companies join forces

Responding to industry consolidation nationwide that has seen the elimination of independent players, two of Utah's oldest And familyowned ice cream makers have joined forces.

Asael Farr & Sons Co., aka Farr Better Ice Cream Co. at 286 21 st St., Ogden, and Salt Lake-based Russell's Ice Cream Co., 2575 So. 300 W., have merged, creating The Farr Russell Group, with combined experience in ice cream manufacturing and distributing, according to Farr family spokesman Michael Farr.

Terms were not disclosed.
