As the war on terrorism continues, Air National Guard members are employed worldwide using civilian skills and dedication to keep legacy systems up and contributing. Their accomplishments are significant but do not mask the spiraling costs of maintaining aging systems. The Air National Guard must transform across the full spectrum of missions. Through transformation to the next generation of aircraft, the Air National Guard will be able to continue to leverage its unique attributes to maximize the new systems' capabilities.
