BREASTFEEDING
National Breastfeeding Awareness Week (NBAW) 2004 will take place from 9 to 15 May 2004. This year's campaign aims to encourage mothers and mothers-to-be to give breastfeeding a go! The campaign objective supports the government's targets to increase breastfeeding initiation rates by two percentage points per year by 2006. The focus is particularly on younger mothers and those who are least likely to breastfeed, by highlighting the benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and baby.
