Maui, Hawaii - While complaints of "sensitive skin" maybe challenging to address, dermatologists can frequently help patients obtain relief, even if there are no overt clinical manifestations to treat, according to Patricia G. Engasser, M.D.
Dermatologists should first properly diagnose and treat any underlying conditions, such as eczema or rosacea, then analyze the patient's skincare product use, said Dr. Engasser, clinical professor of dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford, Calif.
