Article: Kennecott's visitors center opens for new season

The award winning Bingham Canyon Mine Visitors Center opened its new season on April 1, 2004. It is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week through October 31. Since 1992, more than 1,900,000 people have toured the visitors center, spending an average of one hour looking at the exhibits and watching a behind-the-scenes video in the 95-seat theater.

Louie Cononelos, Kennecott Utah Copper's director of government and public affairs, said there have been some changes and modifications to the exhibits and displays in the center.
