Former presidential candidate Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun recently spoke at The Ohio State University for the culmination of Black History Month and the opening of the university's Women's History Month celebration.
As a 2004 presidential candidate, Moseley-Braun set a new record in her bid for the presidency by making it onto the primary ballots in 20 states, more than any other female candidate in history, including Sen. Margaret Chase in 1964 and Rep. Shirley Chisholm in 1972.
During her appearance at OSU, Moseley-Braun spoke about the role of government in society and the ability of individuals to make a difference.
