Overweight and obesity have become weighty matters. The reasons behind America's collective weight gain are multi-faceted, but the good news is the fact that eating more fiber-rich foods may be part of the solution. According to recent reports from the World Health Organization and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, eating more dietary fiber promotes maintenance of a healthy weight and is helpful as part of a weight loss diet.
