A Williamsport-based office furniture supplier has received the majority of a state contract that is projected to save the Commonwealth $7 million annually.
The three-year contract, with options for two more, is the largest contract SupplySource Inc. has ever received, says owner Ray A. Thompson, who with his wife founded the company in 1984.
The Department of General Services has awarded its furniture contract to 17 vendors but 85 percent of it goes to SupplySource, which (besides Williamsport) has offices in Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre, State College, Johnstown and Lancaster.
SupplySource's share of the contract is estimated to be worth $11 million annually. Its annual sales are in the $16 ...
