Referred patient has decreased vision, orbital mass

Pupils, visual fields show abnormalities, imaging studies demonstrate mass: What is the diagnosis?

A 21-year-old male was referred from another hospital after CT performed for a motor vehicle accident revealed an incidental left retrobulbar mass.

The patient reported a progressive visual decline in his left eye for the past 6 to 9 months. he had not been concerned because he thought he only needed glasses for improvement. he denied redness, pain, photophobia, or diplopia. His ocular, medical, and family histories were all unremarkable. CT revealed a 2.5 × 2.0 cm round intraconal mass in the left orbit (Figure 1).
