Nothing is more embarrassing than looking back on old love letters. What was written in an alcoholic haze across a cocktail napkin the night before certainly seems less romantic the morning after. However, when you're an artist the likes of Andre Previn, these lusty scrawls can become more than blackmail material -- they become works of art.
Take the composer and former Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Music Director's first violin concerto, "Anne-Sophie." As the title implies, the work was written in 2002 for his new wife, superstar fiddler Anne-Sophie Mutter.
