As a dietitian, I am often asked for my opinion on the latest diets and other weight loss techniques. Usually the individuals are on a particular diet and would like to determine if the diet is based on any scientific evidence. In keeping with the evidence-based practice theme of this edition, I will review the current dieting trends, and present the evidence behind what the diets claim.
