To shrink domestic polyester filament production

Japanese synthetic fiber producers have intensified their moves to review the production capacity for polyester filament in Japan. The point here is the transfer of product items to overseas factories for major producers, along with the withdrawal from commodity yam and the concentration on sophisticated yam for producers of middle and lower standing.

Teijin Limited has disclosed that it is reviewing the 'specialization of product items between its three polyester filament production bases in Thailand (TPL and TJT) and Indonesia (TIFICO). According to Teijin, it is conceivable that it will have to prepare itself for the curtailment of production at its Matsuyama Factory in Japan.
