Article: Best Buy to unleash 'Geek Squad' computer repair concept

Retailing giant Best Buy will introduce the "Geek Squad" computer repair concept to Utah on Aug. 2.

With titles like "Double Agent," "Special Agent" and "Inspector," Geek Squad members are uniformed in white shirt, black tie, white socks, black shoes, badges and sunglasses., and drive black-and-white painted Volkswagen Beetles to fix computers customers have purchased at Best Buy.

"We're rolling this program out in Utah, Idaho and Montana said Brian Smith, a Best Buy service manager at Best Buy's South Salt Lake location. "It's actually very exciting for our company and for our customers."

The Geek Squad Computer Support Task Force presently is recruiting in Utah for personnel to perform. ...
