Twelve major European producers of specialty papers have joined together to form Paperplus, a specialty paper manufacturers' association. The new organization will represent manufacturers of one-side coated and calendered papers used for flexible packaging, wet-glue labels and self-adhesive laminates. Paperplus, which is open to expand to other specialty paper products, will focus its activities on three areas:

* Promote its targeted paper products for use primarily in the food and beverage industries

* Produce relevant European trade statistics for its members

* Lobby EU and national governments on behalf of its members for better ...
