Introduction: Normal menopause is associated with vascular endothclial dysfunction, an early stage of atherosclerosis. The effect of premature ovarian failure (or premature menopause) on endothelial function in young women is unknown. The objective of this cross-sectional study was to determine the effect of premature ovarian failure on endothelial function in women less than 40 years of age.
