Introduction Parkinson's Disease (PD) is diagnosed in 1% of the population over 70 years of age, and affects men more frequently than women. There are few studies looking at the association between hormonal factors and PD but studies of the effects of oestrogens on the nervous system give indications that the use of hormonal treatments may be beneficial. Methods In this present review, 16 men suffering from PD and ADAM (androgen Deficiency in the Adult Male) aged 64 to 78 years, were studied.
