Abstract
In the present study, Air Quality Index ( AQI ) of Delhi is studied in order to provide the information about air quality of the region. Delhi is one of the most polluted capital cities of the world. The three pollutants included in the AQI are sulphur dioxide (SO^sub 2^), suspended particulate matter (SPM) and nitrogen dioxide (NO^sub 2^). The flexibility in different methods developed in developing countries are used for estimation of Delhi's AQI. Subindices are calculated for all pollutants and the highest subindex becomes the AQI.
