The objective of this 21 d experiment was to evaluate the effect of L-lysine-HC1 addition on growth performance of pigs fed ractopamine HC1 (Paylean®). A total of 966 gilts (TR-4 × C22; 98.2 ± 0.2 kg) were randomly allotted to one of six dietary treatments with seven replicate pens/treatment and 23 pigs/pen.
