COON CREEK - Lincoln County property owners whose homes would be taken if a new regional airport is built say they've been overlooked in the decisionmaking process.
The war continues between Yeager Airport officials in Charleston and the West Virginia Public Port Authority (WVPPA) as to whether the proposed Lincoln County regional airport would have merit, but people who would be most affected by it seem in the dark.
The "build/no-build" decision for a new regional airport is expected to be made by July 1. It would serve an estimated 1.2 million people in West Virginia, southern Ohio and eastern Kentucky.
