Many individuals with HIV disease and AIDS are living longer, experiencing improved health, and planning for their futures due to the increased efficacy of new drug therapies and drug combinations for the treatment of HIV disease and AIDS. Learning more about how individuals with HIV disease and AIDS are managing their illness in regards to work was the focus of this study. A core phenomenon emerging from this study centered on the importance that work held in the lives of people living with HIV disease and AIDS.
