Developing the concept of the 'reader's advocate' has been a major thrust for the Editorial Board this year. This means that the Editorial Board's main aim for all the publications is to make them accessible to the reader. It means unashamedly editing the article or item, and working with the author to ensure that the written word is presented in an easily understood and meaningful way for the reader.
