Article: Fischer says Paul Harris a 'start-up' once again

Charlotte Fischer didn't enter U.S. Bankruptcy Court last week expecting a bargain, but the once and future retail executive walked out with what could be the deal of the century.

For just $43,000, Fischer will buy the name, logo, signage, trademarks and other intellectual property of Paul Harris Stores Inc., the company she left 14 months ago as its chairwoman, president and CEO.

She thought the package could go for as much as $1 million in a competitive auction with Glenn Lyon, her successor at the nowbankrupt women's clothing retailer.
